The mission of START is to send short term missionaries abroad so as to:

  • Reach the lost
  • Assist local missionaries and pastors
  • Train national pastors
  • Disciple short term missionaries
  • Bless the poor, the widows, the orphans, and the afflicted.

Prayer Walk Across Michigan
Wally and Linda Hostetter will be prayer walking across the state of Michigan beginning Monday, October 6.  To see their schedule and follow their stories click here.

Kenyan Widows Business
Dr. David Kitonga has asked Widow's Might to help a group of widows in Nairobi, Kenya  to begin a small entrepreneurship. He has informed us that the cost for each business "start up" will be $150.00. We would love to be able to do this!  Please pray that God would allow us the privilege of investing in many of their lives during 2009.  If you would like further information regarding this ministry please contact linda@startministries.com.

Urban Arts After-School Program
The Urban Arts Summer Camps went extremely well and we have been invited to provide after-school programs for youth in Detroit this fall.  There is currently no funding for this program, except individual donations.  If you would like to be a part of this program by volunteering or contributions, please contact katiebeth@startministries.com.
